Service Alert for Route:

• SIM4X/SIM8X trips will be discontinued, more trips coming to SIM4/SIM8
  Things to know:
  SIM4X and SIM8X are special express trips of the SIM4 and SIM8 routes.
  Regular SIM4 and SIM8 trips will not be reduced.
  Some of the express SIM4X and SIM8X trips will be converted to full route SIM4 and SIM8 trips.
  These changes are part of our regular process of reviewing bus schedules and ridership demand. Discontinuing the SIM4X and SIM8X and converting some of these trips into full-route SIM4 and SIM8 trips will better use underutilized resources.
• Staten Island-bound SIM1C, SIM4C, SIM8 and SIM33C buses are detoured due to roadwork on W 57th St at 7th Ave.
  While detoured, SIM1C, SIM4C and SIM33C buses will not make stops:
  On 57th St at 6th Ave
  On 5th Ave from W 55th St to W 40th St
  Buses make stops as requested on 7th Ave and E 34th St instead.
  
  SIM8 buses will not make stops:
  On 57th St at 6th Ave
  On 5th Ave from W 55th St to W 48th St
  On W 42nd St from 5th Ave to Ave of the Americas
  Buses make stops as requested on 7th Ave instead.
